Joselyn Dumas Hopes To Star In American TV Series ‘Power’

Actress Joselyn Dumas’ “wish” is to join popular American Television series ‘Power.’ 

Dumas told the folks at showmax that she at times gets “envious” and wishes she was a part of the series.

“Power is just so realistic, there are times when I am watching it and I wish to be part of it. I get so envious,” expressed Dumas. “50 Cent better write me in, because I can’t take any role from the other actors, they all play it so well.”

Power is an American crime drama-thriller television series airing on Starz. The show was created by Courtney Kemp Agboh and is produced by the rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. It premiered on June 7, 2014.

The series follows James St. Patrick (Hardwick), nicknamed “Ghost”, owner of “Truth”, a popular New York City nightclub. In addition, he is a major player in one of the city’s biggest illegal drug networks.

He struggles to balance these two lives, and the balance topples when he realizes he wants to leave the drug ring in order to support his legitimate business. He also has to keep his marriage with Tasha.

Dumas also spoke about the transition from law to acting, her career in the movie industry and a lot more.

Joselyn Dumas is a versatile and fearless actress who continues to shine on the big screen and has received high acclaim for her work on television and in Film. She was born Joselyn Canfor-Dumas in Ghana and spent her early childhood in Accra, Ghana. She had her basic education at Morning Star School and proceeded to the Archbishop Porter Girls High School where she became the Entertainment Prefect. Joselyn furthered her studies in the United States where she studied to earn a Degree in Administrative Law. Joselyn is a proud mother whose life is centered around her child. She is currently the host for a new TV talk show @ Home with Joselyn Dumas which is aired acrossAfrica and parts of Europe.

Her role in Perfect Picture, made a lasting impression on the director which led to subsequent key roles in other movies. Her big break came two years later in the Shirley Frimpong-Manso movie series Adams Apples. The role of “Jennifer Adams” in Adams Apples got her nominated for Best Actress in a lead role alongside Hollywood Actress Kimberly Elise at the2011 Ghana Movie Awards. Ever since Joselyn Dumas has become a household name. She has played key roles in movies and series such as Love or Something Like That, A Sting in a Tale, Perfect Picture, A Northern Affair and Lekki Wives. She has starred alongside some of Africa’s finest Actors like John Dumelo, Majid Michel of Ghana and OC Ukeje of Nigeria.
