Two killed and seven injured at Gomoa Budumburam

Two people from the Gomoa Budumburam Refugee Camp were killed on the spot and seven others injured when a Cesspit tanker from the Camp ran into a group of people at the road side at Budumburam on Monday. A spokesman for the Awutu Beraku police told the Ghana News Agency that the tanker was moving from the camp to enter the main Winneba/Accra road while the tipper truck was also heading towards Winneba. The police said the two vehicles collided on the main road and the tanker later run into a group of people standing at the roadside near a filling station waiting for transport. He said the two persons were killed on the stop and injured the seven persons believed to be refugees from the camp The spokesman said the drivers of two vehicles believed to have escaped unhurt are on the run and the police have mounted a search for them. The injured have been taken to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
