Accra Great Olympics captain Dan Zeim Quaye has launched a damaging attack on his own club's hierarchy insisting they must withdraw their legal tussle as they are only bent on unjustifiably creating 'confusion and the troubles' in Ghana football.

Quaye, who is a legend of the club, is angry over attempts by the leadership of the club to place an injunction on the start of the Ghana Premier League because they only was to cause 'confusion'.

The defender, who has played for the Wonder Boys since he was 15, implied Olympics doesn't merit a place in the top-flight and that the leadership turmoil of the club resulted in their relegation.

The former international defender added that the Accra-based side are not organised enough to the play in the Ghana Premier League because there are still massive splits in the leadership.

The player with insider knowledge of the goings on at Olympics also implied that their attempt to play in the Ghana Premier League at all cost is meant to frustrate the Ghana FA.

Olympics first filed for an interlocutory injunction on the start of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League in a protest that Bechem United fielded an unqualified player against them during last term's Ghana Premier League campaign, but the case was dismissed by an Accra Human Right Court.

And in their relentless effort to participate in the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League, Great Olympics has filed for a second injunction on the league which was scheduled to commence on Friday, March 2.

 However says Quaye his outfit is not ready to compete in the elite division due to their internal wrangling; therefore must put their house in order before harbouring any hopes of playing in the league.

 “Great Olympics should accept to go to the division one and re-organize themselves before they can think of coming back to the premier," Quaye told ASEDA FM.

 “Anyone who will tell me there is no confusion within the management of Great Olympics is a big liar."

 “If they want to stay in the premier and make impact then they should stop the confusion and the troubles."

The first hearing of the case has been set for March 15, 2018.

The matchday one of the GPL was expected to kickoff this weekend with holders Aduana Stars opening it with a home game against Liberty Professionals on Friday in Dormaa Ahenkro.

But the match has been postponed until further notice since GFA will meet Olympics in Accra Appeals Court next week.
