The Offinso North constituency chairman of the NPP, Albert Sefa Boampong has likened Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako to the biblical David who was chosen and anointed by God Himself, for his work and redeem His people from the hands of the Philistines.
Therefore, to him, contesting chairman Wontumi at this particular moment is just like fighting God and defying the will of God for the party.
In the view of Sefa Boampong, all indicators point to the fact that Wontumi represents the "David of our time' and it is essential that "we don't touch the anointed one of God".
Leading his constituents to endorse the reelection of Bernard Antwi Boasiako at Kodie, the Offinso North chairman reminded the supporters of where the party was especially in 2014, and how Wontumi prepositioned it to regain its confidence going into 2016 general elections.
He said his constituency does not know anyone other than the incumbent regional chairman and will entirely work to ensure a resounding victory for him
To the chairman, it is only the ingrate who do not recognize or remember the good things people have done for them.
"For us, we only know Wontumi and we will not stand in the way of God or prevent what God wants to do so we support him and are working with him to retain his position", the chairman assured.
