International Women's Day: Victims Of Horrific Acid Attacks Take Part In A Fashion Show

The victims of horrific acid attacks in India have taken part in a fashion show to mark International Women's Day.

Eleven women who have survived acid attacks took to the catwalk in Thane, on the outskirts of Mumbai, on Wednesday.

The show was held as part of a campaign calling for the sale of acid to be stopped, and aimed to raise awareness of the impact of violence against women in the country.

The women taking part in the show donned colourful dresses as they spoke about regaining confidence after being left scarred in brutal attacks.
