I'll Beat Kudjo Fianoo To Win GFA Elections - Northern Region FA Chairman

Northern Regional Chairman of Ghana Football, Abdulai Alhassan has thrown a challenge to GHALCA boss, Kudjo Fianoo as the race for the next President of the Ghana Football Association begins to unfold.

The owner of relegated club Bolga All Stars, insists the veteran Football Administrator will be no match for him should he state his intention of contesting for the top post.

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi confirmed he will not be seeking re-election when his term comes to an end in 2019.

Meanwhile, several names have pooped up for the position, with reports indicating Vice President of the Association George Afriyie, Kurt Okraku- Executive Chairman of Dreams FC, Fred Pappoe- a member of Accra Great Olympics and Kudjo Fianoo all ready to contest for the Presidency.

However, a surprising name to also emerge is the Northern Regional Football Chairman,Abdulai Alhassan who has thrown a challenge to Kudjo Fianoo insisting if he contest with him he will win the election without shedding a sweat.

"If I contest with Kudjoe Fianoo I will win the presidency, he is not a match for me," he told Happy FM. "So for my brothers I will tell them to leave the contest for me and Kudjo Fianoo and if I win the presidency they will support me to run Ghana Football," he added.

"Kurt should withdraw, Mr. George Afriyie should not come out, Mr. Fred Pappoe, I will beg him not to come out. Leave me and Kudjo Fianoo, I will beat him hands down."

Alhassan Abdulai believes the former Ashantigold Chief Executive Officer is wrong to run down an office he wants to work in. There has been a bantam of words between FA Chairman Kwesi Nyantakyi and Kudjoe Fianoo after the latter labelled the President and his vice travelling more than pilots.

Nyantakyi replied with a quote branding Kudjoe Fianoo as a small mind who discusses people.

"I want Ghanaians to understand that, it's not good to run down the office you want to rule one day, you don't do that. At a point when we should be celebrating the Ladies after their triumph you rather bring up issues of Presidency," Abdullai added.
