Some seven patriotic residents of Asuotwene, near Asamankese in the Eastern Region, have arrested escapee prisoner Emmanuel Kotey and handed him over to the Asamankese Police.

He is one of the escapees from the Kwabenya Police Station cells on January 21, 2018.

The Asamankese Police informed the Kwabenya District Police for collection. The escapee prisoner, Emmanuel Kotey, is currently with the Accra Region Criminal Investigation Department (CID) assisting police investigation.

The latest arrest brings to three the total number of people arrested in connection with the cell break that led to the escape of seven inmates and the death of a police officer.
