Well Work To Merit Second Term In Govt Benyiwa Doe

The Central Regional Minister, Mrs Ama Benyiwa-Doe, has assured Ghanaians that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government will give them satisfactory governance that will merit a second term in government. I know that the people will be satisfied with the NDCs rule after four years and they will have no option but retain the NDC in power, she said. Mrs Benyiwa-Doe expressed her optimism when she addressed a durbar by the various paramountcies in the Mfantseman municipality of the Central Region as part of her tour of the area to introduce herself to the chiefs and people there. She was accompanied by the Regional Co-ordinating Director, Mr Kwame Oppong, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Kweku Hayfron. Mrs Benyiwa-Doe visited Abeadze, Ekumfi, Mankessim, Anomabo and Nkusukum paramountcies and also met with the heads of decentralized departments and staff of the Mfantseman Municipal Assembly. She stated that the NDC would not run away from its responsibility of bettering the lives of the ordinary Ghanaian. She, however, stated that the government would be sincere with the people, tell them what it could do and what it could not do and ensure that the populace also played their role to support the government to achieve set targets. She said it was crucial that the dying communal spirit which had contributed to slowing development in the communities was revived to accelerate growth. She bemoaned the lack of interest in education in the region, saying it was one major cause of increasing unemployment there.
