At least 55 people were killed and 38 injured when a truck carrying fertilizer crashed into a crowd of people in Nigeria's Kogi state, a federal official told CNN.
The incident occurred Friday night in northern Nigeria, said Austin Aipoh, federal road safety commander of Kogi state. The cause of the crash remained under investigation, Aipoh said.
