NAPO Wins Best Minister

The Education Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku-Prempeh has been adjudged the Best Performing Minister in the Akufo-Addo government.

The Ministry of Education was also mentioned as the Best Performing Ministry in the current government settings.

The Minister, the Executive Club noted had steered the implementation of the free Senior High School education through a successful path.

Making the announcement at the 8th Ghana Entrepreneur and Corporate Executive Awards Saturday night, the organizers described the Manhyia South Member of Parliament as visionary and intelligent.

Presenting the award to the Minister later at the event, Ambassador Robert Jackson of the United States of America also lauded the Minister for his exemplary leadership qualities.

ACCEPTANCE

Accepting the award and on behalf of the Ministry, Dr Opoku-Prempeh thanked the organizers for the honour done him and the Ministry.

The Minister, however, dedicated the award to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for finding him worthy to carry out the party’s flagship program.

According to the Minister, the President has shown personal interest in the enrolment enhancing educational policy.

The President, the Minister revealed is committed to ensuring the free SHS policy becomes seamless in its continuous roll out.

He also stressed the determination of the Ministry to address the teething challenges that are rearing its head in the roll out of the policy.

AWARD

For his award, the Minister received an immaculate portrait depicting his ever smiling face.

An elated NAPO, as he is fondly called expressed profound happiness at the award and thanked the organizers for it.

The award, he noted will spur him on to work even harder to ensure every single Ghanaian due for Senior High School has that opportunity to do so no matter their background or social status.
