Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a Ghanaian International Evangelist, observed at the weekend that the disunity that existed among Ghana's Founding Fathers- The Big Six was a bane on national development. He said Kwame Nkrumah, Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey, Edward Akufo Addo, J. B. Danquah, Ebenezer Ako Adjei and William Ofori-Atta were men of substance, who should have transcended their political differences to offer Ghana a united front to execute the development agenda. "I therefore call on the current crop of politicians not to repeat the same mistakes," he said. Dr Tetteh who was speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said: "Ideology should not divide us. Politicians should use their diverse opinions to help unite Ghana." He said Ghana needed a common vision towards the growth of the country, hence the need for the citizenry to forge common grounds to respond to the call for duty. Dr Tetteh expressed the need for the political leadership to have a deep spiritual discernment to know the plans and purposes of God concerning the nation and to grant them the courage, wisdom and humility to pursue them. "I also pray that all political parties will have a common vision and agenda for the good and prosperity of our dear nation." Dr Tetteh noted that the Church has a responsibility to re-echo the value of truth and the boldness to speak the mind of God and do His will. Touching on the significance of Christmas, he said it was a season for God to reconcile Man back to Him. "When Adam fell, Man was disconnected from God and though many prophets came after him they could not reconcile Man with God until Christ came to the scene." He said Christmas was the greatest day on earth. The day of peace and goodwill to man.
