The threat by some Parliamentarians to drag Mr Koku Anyidoho, Communications Director at the Presidency to the Privileges Committee of Parliament has come to us as a shock. These parliamentarians insist that Mr Anyidoho should be tried by them for simply saying that they have been �irresponsible.� Shouldn�t citizens of Ghana be able to tell their Parliamentarians that they have been irresponsible when they are? What is wrong with telling Parliamentarians that they are irresponsible when they approved the CNTCI loan and the immunity agreement with the United States of America? What has Parliament done to its members who have used the floor of the house to peddle falsehood and to attack the integrity of non-members of Parliament? In our view the threat to drag Mr Anyidoho to the Privileges Committee of Parliament is most unfortunate and reflects the intolerance of some Members of Parliament.
