PZ Cussons Donates To Korle-Bu Children’s Ward

PZ Cussons Ghana Limited, producers and distributors of personal and homecare products, has donated quantities of Cussons Baby and Nunu products worth GH¢11,000 to the Child Health Department of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

The kind gesture, which is in response to a call made by the hospital, is to help provide for the nutrition and hygiene needs of the children on admission at the hospital. The items presented are Nunu milk powder, Cussons baby powder, and Cussons baby wipes.

Presenting the products, the Head of Brand Development and Activation at PZ Cussons Ghana, Madam Hafsa Arthur, said the company received an urgent call from the hospital management about the plight of some children who have been abandoned by their families for various reasons including feeding and difficulty paying for their treatment.

According to Madam Hafsa Arthur, she was worried and concerned on hearing that children are left to their own fate by their own families, hence the visit by PZ Cussons Ghana to support the hospital with the items to ensure the children are given the needed nutritional support.

“Health is an essential part of life and requires our utmost attention. In line with our corporate mission of enhancing the lives of our consumers, PZ Cussons Ghana believes the donation of these products will help reduce the burden the hospital is facing on daily basis, and also go a long way to improving the health of the children,” she said.

Madam Hafsa Arthur praised the management and staff of the Child Health Department Hospital for their selfless dedication to the care of the children, while assuring them of a fruitful relationship that would help provide solutions to challenges faced by the hospital.
