Embrace Nation Builders Corps With Joy - Dr. Okoe Boye Urges Youth

Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, NPP Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku consstituency in the Greater Accra region, has urged the youth of Ghana to embrace the government’s Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) with an overwhelming joy and delight.

According to him, the Nation Builders Corps is to help create employment opportunities for the teeming youth of the nation.

Speaking on Peace FM’s 'Kokrokoo' programme, Dr. Okoe Boye described Nana Akufo-Addo as a compassionate President and desires to help the youth to find a fulfilled life.

He asked the youth not to pay attention to the detractors of the government but rather utilize the opportunity provided by President Akufo-Addo and his government.

“Don’t look at the money; go for value. Get engaged . . . get inside the Nation Builders Corps if you are at home. Tomorrow will tell for itself. You don’t need to know what will have tomorrow before you start. And for your own information, those who are telling you not to go for the GHc 700 are not ready to give you GHc 200 for staying at home”, he advised.

The President on Tuesday, 1st May, 2018, launched the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO), which will employ, in this year alone, 100,000 young men and women to assist in the public sector service delivery needs of Ghana.

“NABCO will be the vehicle to deliver one hundred thousand (100,000) jobs in seven (7) prioritized areas, defined as the following modules: Educate Ghana; Heal Ghana; Feed Ghana; Revenue Ghana; Digitize Ghana; Enterprise Ghana; and Civic Ghana", the President said on the occasion.

To Dr. Okoe Boye, President Akufo-Addo is competent to ensure the policy becomes a success.

“He’s not only competent. There’s one thing he has that some Presidents do not have. He has compassion. That’s a virtue of God . . . Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, he’s aware that he has two choices either he invests in the Ghanaian or his family and friends”.
