Mahama "Trusts Me Absolutely"...We "Got Along Very Well" - Amissah-Arthur

Former Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur Arthur has denied reports that Ex-President John Dramani Mahama rendered him ‘useless’ while serving under his regime.

He stated emphatically that he has “never had a telephone (or any ) conversation remotely resembling what has been written” adding that he and Ex-President Mahama have a "divine bond of friendship and understanding" between themselves.

Mr. Amissah-Arthur, reacting to false reports, further noted that “it’s a figment of people’s imagination and should be treated with the contempt it deserves.

A story by Kumasi-based radio station, Otec Fm, attributes a comment that “Mahama rendered him ineffective and his role was undefined and that someone assumed the role of the Veep in his stead” to Mr. Amissah-Arthur.

According to him, the report attempts to denigrate his credibility and intended to create a turf war between him and his former Boss.

He expounded that he and his former Boss got “along very well and he served him well to the best of his knowledge and ability
.
As far as he is concerned, they have a harmonious working relationship till date and they are best of friends and have a divine bond of friendship and understanding between themselves and the NDC party. John Mahama saw a ‘tested and loyal’ Vice President, and maintained him as his running mate for the presidential election in 2016. Someone he trusts absolutely. When it comes to choosing a great mate, whether in politics or business, the essentials went beyond charisma, connections and political leverage. The key foundational elements were trust, loyalty and complementary skills and qualities. The duo went on to win the 2012 presidential elections, and have so far enjoyed a robust relationship”.

In ascension to power, Mr. Amissah Arthur proved to Ghanaians that politics could be played without rivalry and enmity. This, he exercised while responding to critics on his government by educating them on issues.

“The stories of crisis between Mahama and Amissah -Arthur are not true and they are working together as a team, so that they project the interest of the great NDC in 2020. And they are both concentrating on helping the NDC take over the leadership of the country in 2020”, the Former Vice President wants Ghanaians to know.
