NPP Polls: Eastern Region Roots for Sammi Awuku, Urges All To Follow Suit
The entire Eastern Regional branch of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) have thrown their unflinching support for the aspiring National Organizer Mr. Sammi Awuku who also doubles as the National Youth Organizer of the party.
According to the Eastern Regional Organizer, Mr. Kwame Appiah Kodua, the decision came after gathering thoughts from all the 33 constituencies within the region as they believe Sammi Awuku has shown in several ways that he has the ability, desire and leadership skills to be the man they need for election 2020 and beyond.
In a statement sent to peacefmonline.com, Mr. Kodua indicated that all the executives were convinced about the hard work of Mr. Sammi Awuku who played a significance role in the 2016 election for the overwhelming victory and will inevitably need him to enhance grounds and bring change into the lives of the many expectant Ghanaians.

We, the Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party in the Eastern Region; having gathered thoughts from the 33 constituencies of the Eastern Region, where there is a 100% endorsement chorus for Sammi Awuku in the upcoming NPP national elections; standing indivisible, from Afram Plains to Upper Manya Krobo to Abuakwa North to Ofoase Ayirebi, has decided to issue our formal 100% endorsement of Sammi Awuku as the next National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party.
Sammi has over the years shown proven leadership and deserve our 100% endorsement.
Sammi has shown in several ways that he has the ability, desire and leadership skills to be the man we need for election 2020 and beyond. As a communicator, mobilizer, and grassroots person, he successfully mobilized one of the single most powerful youth revolutions in the history of Ghana’s election that supervised the 2016 election victory for the NPP. He operated the youth wing of the party as his business, where he and his staff provided a caring, functioning and loving atmosphere for our most vulnerable citizens and the opposition NPP at the time.
We speak with first-hand knowledge and conviction of this, as he entirely changed the operations and spirit of the Youth Organizers at all levels of our party.
We remember how he built the capacities of our Regional Youth Organizers in Germany to effect change at the grassroots towards election 2016. As a member of national executive, we have a firm believe that he was the force behind election 2016 victory and we will inevitably need him as the party move to enhance its fortunes, consolidate Page 2 of 2 grounds and bring change into the lives of the many expectant Ghanaians and NPP members and sympathizers.
Sammi is a friend of the grassroots; he is the one who can be counted on in times of crisis as well as celebration. During the past four years in office as the National Youth Organizer, he has served the NPP, Ghana and its citizens with admiration.
He has also contributed immensely to the effective handling of the exponential growth that has occurred in our party. You can see through these examples amongst others, of his leadership and faithfulness that, as the National Organizer of the NPP, Sammy Awuku can help the NPP grow to become a spirited and prosperous political party. Indeed, Sammy has shown faith to the New Patriotic Party across all levels, hence our decision to reward him with a 100% endorsement. We entreat all other regions to follow suit and please endorse Sammi Awuku as the next National Organizer of the NPP on or before 7 July.
