DPSI Tema Honours Brilliant Students

Tema-based Delhi Public School International (DPSI) has once again rewarded some of its students in recognition of their academic excellence.

On Thursday, May 17, 2018, authorities of the school presented medals and certificates to top five students in each class beginning from Class 1 to A-Level making it twelve classes in all.

Some of the awardees were Larry Tetteh, Debora R.H. Ruban, Srinivagan Balaji, Rutuja, Sedinam and Ellen Donkar.

Director of DPSI Tema, Mukesh Thakwani said in a statement at a short but colourful ceremony to present the awards the purpose of the awards was to encourage the students "to create a healthy competition amongst themselves" and to inspire them to achieve better grades in both their academic and extracurricular activities.

He said the awards were based on the students' sterling academic performances.

DPSI has over the years consistently presented its students with such awards as a way of encouraging them to take their academic and extracurricular activities seriously.

It would be recalled that in October 2017, the school honoured a total of 52 of its students.

About 19 of those students were awarded certificates for excelling in the Model United Nations (MUN) event held by the Tema International School (TIS) in that year.

Gold, bronze and silver medals were also given out to about 32 students in October in recognition of their brilliant performance in the 2017 edition of the Streamline Aquatics Limited (SAL) Swim Series held at the Tesano Sports Club.
