Patapizzy Is To Make My Fans In Europe Happy

The leader of the Pa2pa Soldiers, Justice Amoah, popularly known in the showbiz industry as Patapaa, says he is still called Patapaa although he had early on told his fans in a live video to call him Patapizzy.

The 'One Corner' song originator in a live Facebook video on Sunday, May 27 urged his fans to call him Patapizzy, a name he said God has given him through his mentor and godfather, Funny Face.

But in a new Facebook video posted Monday, a day after the old video, the Swedru-based highlife artiste said he made the earlier video announcing his nickname Patapizzy just to make his fan base in Europe happy.

Patapaa is in Europe for a musical video shoot.

According to him, his name Patapaa is difficult for the whites to pronounce, hence his decision to use his nickname, Patapizzy, which he explained, is easier for his white fans.

He said because he is now touring Europe where he meets a lot of white people, having a name they (whites) can easily pronounce is the best thing to do.

When I came here, they have been calling me Patapizzy, patapizzy, the singer said, addingI think the Patapaa is difficult for them (whites) and more so, Patapizzy is trending here.

Patapaa said although he accepts the new name, he has not denounced his 'orignal' name and that he still goes by the name, Patapaa.

“My name is Patapaa and you can choose to call me Patapizzy— that is the nickname,” he said, explaining that he decided to do the new video in order to set the records straight on his earlier video.

Ending his video with one of his popular signatures, “wo bÉ›tse bum pat pat kelenke,” Patapaa expressed his gratitude to all his fans, particularly those in Ghana, noting that he still stands for the Pa2pa Soldiers.
