The much-anticipated events awards ceremony in Africa, 2018 Golden Movie Awards Africa (GMAA), came off on Saturday, June 2 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

As expected the historic night pulled off with some celebrities stealing the spotlight; actress Rosemond Brown stole the spot this year with her 'all over the place' act.

Whiles on stage to pick up the award for Side Chic Gang, Nana Ama McBrown used the stage to 'mock' Rosemond Brown for her bad English.

She 'jokingly' said that her English was going to be simple and precise unlike Rosemond Brown affectionately called Akuampem Polo who has been criticised over her 'bad grammar'.

“Anyway I have to manage and speak some English but I promise I won’t make it like a long grain English like him or her because you know how Akuampem Polo speak, she speaks and brings past tense to present and call a man she; calls a woman as he,” she teased.

Akuampem Poloo yesterday was called up on stage to present an award.

During her presentation, she struggled to mention the word “indigenous”, which burst the whole auditorium into laughter.

She was, however, able to pull through to the end and as usual, didn’t fail to remind the audience that she’s aware of her bad grammar.

The red carpet was graced by high profiles from all works of life like Nikki Samonas, Nana Ama McBrown, Veteran actor Fred Amugi, Nigerian actress Lilian Esoro, Lydia Forson, Vicky Zugah, Salma Mumin, Fiifi Coleman, Jackie Appiah, Cameroon’s Allene Menget, Shirley Frimpong-Manso, Ekow Smith-Asante, Gloria Sarfo, Peter Ritchie, Kafui Danku, Martha Ankomah, Edem, Dblack just to type a few and as you know the show was filled with glitz and glamour.
