Hamburg: 1st Media Co Operation and Journalist Seminar Held

The first Media Co-operation and Journalist Seminar has successfully come to an end in Hamburg.

The seminar, which aimed at bringing together journalists across the world to share experiences and strengthen their journalistic skills, was speahearded by Mrs. Sylvaina Gerlich, Representative of Africa and member of Integration Advisory Council of The Hamburg -Senate.

During the seminar, participating journalists visited several media houses in Germany including: Hamburg 1 TV, Taz Newspaper, Hamburg Abendblatt, German Press Agency (GPA), NDR info and TV, Tide TV and Deutsche Welle (DW) TV.

Other places visited were the Hamburg Citi Parliament and World Press Exhibition Center.

Media houses that took part in the seminar include Peacefm, Africa Radio Germany, TopAfric, TV3, Multimedia, Ghana TV abroad Radio Peace (Winneba) amongst others.

Speaking at the seminar, Mrs Gerlich called on participants to be circumspect in their reportage since the media play a vital role in nation building.

She further indicated that her outfit will ensure this kind of seminar takes place at least once every year.
