Presidential Staffer Suspended Over 'Unsavory' Comment

A Policy and Communication Analyst at the Jubilee House, Dr. Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor has been suspended.

In a letter signed by the Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Opare and copied to Peacefmonline.com, she is alleged to have made some comments which sought to disparage a section of the Ghanaian society.

"The office of the President deems those comments unacceptable," the statment added.

Presidential staffer Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor incurred the wrath of New Patriotic Party (NPP) footsoldiers on social media over comments she passed on a post denigrating the ruling party’s footsoldiers.

Ms Donkor, who is the number 114 on the list of 998 is, in addition to her presidential staffer role, a leading member of controversial girls group 'PepperDem'.

She wrote in response to a post about not dealing with foot soldiers as a principle: “You shouldn’t”, she encouraged her friend who posted it. “You can’t reason with them (foot soldiers),” she said.

“It’s like tribalist,” she added.

She has since apologized for her comments.

However, she has been asked to stay out of office for a period of 30 days and is further required to render in writing an unconditional apology and also commit to good behaviour.
