Nyantakyi Should Be Given A Second Chance As Ghana FA President - Mohammed

Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed wants former Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi to be given another opportunity by government to lead the association.

Nyantakyi, 49, has resigned from his positions on all football organisations including Fifa council, after he was captured on camera by undercover journalists in a documentary that was aired across the country recently.

“If I were to be the president of Ghana, I would've given Kwesi Nyantakyi a second chance to lead Ghana FA despite his recent troubles,” Yahaya told Silver FM.

“He will have to just apologise and promise not to repeat such behaviours again.

“I strongly believe that it will be wrong to use only this issue to judge him especially looking at what he has done for Ghana football. Under his leadership, he was able to change the face of Ghana football and has taken the country to three separate World Cup tournaments," he said.

“Some people have personal hatred against him and have succeeded in making him a villain. We should cast our minds back and see the transformations he has brought and give him a second chance to correct the wrongs,” he added.
