Muntaka, Agyapong Engaging In A 'Fight Meant For Women' - Kwame Ntow

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central and Member of Parliament for Asawase, Muntaka Mubarak, are engaging in a fight meant for women, Ranking Member on the Privileges Committee, Matthias Kwame Ntow has stated. The legislator said men do not engage in the rants the two MPs are engaging in.

Muntaka Mubarak has dared Kennedy Agyapong to bring on his showdown because he [Mubarak] is not afraid of him [Agyapong] since he does not eat from his House.

The Asawase MP dragged Kennedy Agyapong before the committee over alleged contemptuous statement he made against the House.

He reportedly described the House as a useless House an allegation he has rubbished. He threatened to give Muntaka a showdown but Muntaka says he is not afraid of him and has asked the committee to punish Kennedy Agyapong.

Commenting on it, the Ranking member said the two are engaging in a battle for women and the committee is focusing on the facts before it and will not concentrate on the exchanges between the two.

He also denied claims that journalists were prevented from covering the hearing. He explained that, the complainant, Muntaka Mubarak, appeared before the committee in camera and his evidence was taken and the process was not to be covered by the media.

He told Kwabena Agyapong on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM that, the media would be allowed to cover the matter when the time is due.

Kennedy Agyapong is expected to meet the committee next week Tuesday.
