A web portal dubbed SaintsBook has been launched by the Church of Christ Ghana.
Mr Lord Asante Fordjour the web portal project manager said the pilot online data and information portal seeks to among others, promote online evangelism, social networking among church members, religious news publication and statistical data to help measure growth of the church.
With features such as church directory as well as professional and business networking accessible to church members and the public, the web portal was launched at Tema Vertical Center Church of Christ by Hon Dr Augustine Tawiah MP for Bia West and Member of the Knutsford Church of Christ, on the theme "Church Data and Information: Essential Resource for church growth and development."
"In a contemporary world which is highly dependent on Information Communication Technology (ICT), the church has no choice than to launch the web portal to help meet the ICT needs of the members," Hon Dr Augustine Tawiah stated and urged the church to take full advantage of the facility.
Lawyer Samuel Ayim CEO of Focus Life Group and Member of Nsawam Road Church of Christ said data collection and processing on the activities of the church is key to its growth.
Mr Samuel Ayim therefore urged members of the church to patronise the web portal and contribute financially to sustain it.
He also advised the management team and data collectors to work very hard to make the project a great success.
