Paul Asare Ansah, formal Director General of Ghana Ports and Harbour Authority (GPHA) has organized a health walk to sensitize its members and the general public on the need for regular exercises to promote their personal health on Monday, 2nd July, 2018.
Mr. Ansah together with Polling Station Executives, supporters and sympathizers and Constituency Executives of Asuogyaman took to the principal street as they walk to health.
Clad in his T. Shirts, the obviously cheerful participants together with Paul Ansah walked about five kilometres from Tuskerthrough Atimpokuto Akrade amidst drumming and dancing by various youth groups within the Asuogyaman Constituency.
The health walk dubbed Keeping Fit For 2020 has been described by many as the best ever to have happened in Asuogyaman.
Addressing the charged crowd, Mr. Ansah thanked the participants for their massive turn out and appealed to them to rally behind the NPP government in its quest to deliver on its promises to the people.
He took the opportunity to declare his intention to contest the Asuogyaman MP seat when nominations are opened in 2020.
He asked that the New Patriotic Party in Asuogyaman got united and worked assiduously to wrestle the seat from the National Democratic Congress.
It must be noted that, before the Health Walk, about 600 out of the 700 delegates of the party from all 37 electoral areas in the Asuogyaman Constituency had called on him at his Akwamu Aboasa residence to pledge their total support and allegiance as their preferred choice to lead the party to the 2020 elections.
According to them, it is Hon. Ansah's goodwill and charity that have made the NPP attractive in the constituency while in opposition and even to this present time.
Addressing participants, the Eastern Regional 2nd Vice Chairman off the NPP, Mr. Twum Barimah appealed to the youth to exercise some patience and throw their support behind the government as it roles out various social interventions that are set to create lots of job opportunities for them.
The Constituency Chairman, Dr. Godfred Akyea Darkwah thanked Mr. Ansah for his immense contribution towards the progress of the party in particular towards the building of an office complex for the party in the Constituency. He also pledged his total support for Paul Ansah in his bid to take the seat for the NPP come 2020.
