Late Veep Amissah Arthur's Body To Be Driven Through Some Principal Streets Of Accra

The family of the late Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur has announced that the former vice president will be buried at the military cemetery at Burma Camp in Accra.

Mr. Amissah Arthur’s mortal remains will be laid in State at the foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre for filing past by the general public on Thursday 26th July, and burial service held on Friday 27th July after which he will be laid to rest.

The former vice president passed away at age 67 on the  29th of June 2018.

Burial and Funeral arrangements of the Former Vice President, H.E. Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur

The Anona Ebusua of Moree and Cape Coast, Mother, Wife, Siblings, and Children of H.E. Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur wish to announce the burial and final funeral rites as follows:


Thursday 26th July 2018

The former Vice President’s Mortal remains will be laid in state at the foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre for filing past by the general public from 08:00am to 6:00pm.

*Please note that no cameras would be allowed in the foyer*.

Friday 27th July 2018

A burial service will be held in the auditorium of the Accra International Conference Center from 9:00am to 12:00noon. Due to limited space in the auditorium, additional seating will be arranged at the forecourt of the state house and the service *will be streamed live as well*.

The mortal remains of the former Vice President will be driven through some principal streets of Accra after the Burial service, *and thence to the Military cemetery at Burma Camp for burial*

Final funeral rites and reception will be at the forecourt of the State House from 2:00pm
