Ade Coker Files For Re-Election

Filing of nominations for various portfolios for the Greater Accra Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is under way at the Party's Regional Office in Accra.

The positions being filed for include Chairman, Vice Chairmen, Secretary, Organisers, Treasurer, Women's Organiser, Youth Organiser, Zongo Caucus Organiser with their deputies.

Mr Kobina Ade Coker, incumbent Greater Accra Regional Chairman, after filing his papers for re-election in a press interview, said the NDC would win the 2020 election.

"As for NDC winning the 2020 General Election, it is forgone conclusion," he said.

Following the defeat of the NDC at the 2016 polls at the hands of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Coker urged party faithful to bury the hatchet and move forward as united family.

He appealed to members to work harder for victory in 2020.

Mr Derrick Myres, a contestant for the office of Regional Organiser in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, urged delegates to endorse him to enable him translate his vision into an NDC victory in the Greater Accra Region at the 2020 general election.

He pledged to work harder as an organiser to ensure that all Parliamentary seats the NDC lost in the 2016 elections to the ruling NPP in the region are captured.
