A few months ago an NPP follower known as Hajia Fati assaulted a reporter with Adom Fm known as Ohemaa.

Ohemaa was reporting on an issue at NPP headquarters when a livid Hajia slapped her for being too intrusive.

The case ended up in court as a civil suit as the reporter sued Hajia Fati for assault and the case has now been decided.

Hajia Fati’s lawyer Capt. Nkrabeah Effah Dartey counter sued asking for the suit to be dismissed but the judge ignored that and awarded damages to the tune of Ghc 600 against Hajia Fati.

Fati after assaulting the reporter instead of apologizing said she slapped her because she didn’t look like a journalist but an onion seller.

She later came out to apologize but her behaviour in the whole saga makes me wish she had been handed much steeper damages than only Ghc 600.
