CAF has called a crisis meeting with the Sports Minister of Ghana next week to discuss the country's hosting of the 2018 Africa Women's Championship that has been hit by severe delays with just THREE MONTHS left to start the competition.

Fears in the West Africa country are that the Confederation of African Football is set to strip Ghana of the right to host the women's flagship competition after an inspection visit by the governing body was said to be unimpressed over the progress of work.

Isaac Asiamah will travel to Madagascar next week to meet with the President of CAF Ahmad Ahmad to discuss the report and the likely options which includes taking away the right from Ghana.

Ghana are preparing to the host the next edition of the championship which has been slated for November this year but there is little to show on the ground that the country is ready.

With Ghana scheduled to host the 2018 Women's Africa Cup of Nations in November, Ahmad confirmed he is looking at the tournament closely.

"I have a meeting with Ghana's Minister for Youth and Sports next week in Madagascar," Ahmad said.

"He is coming to see me and we will discuss this issue and also the Ghana Football Association."

According to widespread reports, CAF has instructed Nigeria, South Africa and Cameroon to prepare as they monitor proceedings from Ghana as the next AWCON host.

The Black Queens have been impressive in recent African Women's Championships placing third in the last edition in Cameroon.

The Blacks Queens won the WAFU Women's Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast last February.
