NPP Youth Storms Kumasi With “Thank You Walk”

The youth of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) led by the National Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) is set to storm the principal streets of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region with a mammoth WALK christened ”THANK YOU WALK”

The event slated for Saturday, August 11, 2018 seeks to convey the gratitude of the people of Kumasi to His Exellency President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo for the massive infrastructural development seen in the Region under his humble leadership.

The President will commence his tour in the Ashanti Region this Friday ostensibly to inspect on-going projects, commission completed ones and cut sod for the commencement of new developmental projects.

Drivers and residents, as well as members of the Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC) early this year have had recourse to bemoan the bad nature of major and ceremonial streets in the once-called Garden City.

However, in a swift manner, roads in major areas like Santasi, Kwadaso, Sepe-Boukrom, Moshie Zongo, Suntreso, Bantama, Daban, Kaasi,Tafo and other ceremonial streets have seen massive facelift.

This, according to the Youth worth huge commendation, as it shows a clear departure from the “Yɛ ntie obia” style of Governance to a new paradigm of “People centered Governance”.

In recounting the unprecedented achievements by the Government within a relatively short period of 18 months of which the Ashanti Region has immensely benefited from, the youth made mention of the over 50,000 youth employed under the Youth in Afforestation module, 15,000 Youth employed under the Community Protection Personnel module and the over 6,000 youth due for employment in the various security services as well as 100,000 graduates that will be employed under NABCO.

In the health sector, about 18,000 health workers including nurses and doctors have been employed against the backdrop of the restoration of Trainees’ allowances.

According to Nana B, the Youth will forever remain grateful to HE Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo for his commitment to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians by implementing unprecedented pro-poor initiatives like Free SHS.

He reaffirmed the confidence of the youth in the President to deliver and assured him of their unwavering support to his administration.

Nana B, however, was quick to admonish Ghanaians to be weary of the lies and propaganda from the NDC and remain steadfast in their resolve to support the President to deliver on the mandate given him.
