Ebony has had every kind of story come out about her since she died, especially in relation to her love life which she kept hidden for most of the time she was alive.

She either had a boyfriend (O Gee) or a girlfriend (Frankie Kuri) and now even a fiancé, some carpenter no one has ever heard of.


This carpenter, known as Kofi Essel, has claimed that he once met Ebony and she proposed to him.

Speaking to Razzonline, Essel said he didn’t even know Ebony before they met but she told him God has truly blessed him and therefore she wants to marry him.


“…A friend of mine introduced me to Ebony, when I met her i had not heard her song before so if not for my friend I wouldn’t have known her and I wouldn’t have recognized her if I met her at random,”

“She then told me that God has blessed me and when i asked her what she meant, she asked if I had dated before which I said no because I would be committing sin against my body then she went on to ask my name and asked if she could be my friend which I accepted then right there and then when she proposed to me..”, this gentleman boldly claimed.
