Cecilia Dapaah Won’t Disappoint At New Ministry - Andy Owusu

President Akufo-Addo’s decision to move former Aviation minister, Cecilia Abena Dapaah to the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources has been lauded by Mr. Andy Owusu who asserts that it is a clear indication by the president to make Ghana clean again.

The Sanitation Ministry has come under series of attacks from the general public, ever since Kofi Adda was sent to head that ministry.

Some have claimed that the ministry under the watch of Mr Adda, performed abysmally and therefore, with Cecilia Dapaah's appointment, the sanitation ministry is expected to see a radical improvement.

In relation to the development, Mr. Andy Owusu, a known member of the NPP and an aide to Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the party’s Ashanti regional chairman, claims that even though the sanitation ministry has under-performed, the president has clearly shown leadership by replacing Kofi Adda with an equally best person to handle the ministry.

To Andy Owusu, the exploits exhibited by the former Aviation minister in maintaining greater discipline and formulating policies for the streamlining of her former sector, clearly shows she is the best person to revamp the sanitation ministry of Ghana.

He noted that "Abena Dapaah went to the Aviation ministry at a time when things were quite bleak for the industry... But she has been able to work things around. It was difficult but she did it. It took boldness, leadership and focus as well as daring approach to succeed,"

Mr. Owusu further challenged her to use the same approach at her new ministry.

He however maintained that for Cecilia Abena Dapaah to succeed at her new sector, he expects her to remain resolved, fair and firm in dealing with all issues while ensuring greater diligence.

Andy Owusu noted that he has high hopes that the former Aviation minister will succeed and make the president as well as Ghanaians proud.
