NDC Officials Mock Bawumia

Former Deputy Minister of Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu and Ningo Prampam MP, Samuel Nartey George, have all criticised the government over what they describe as the poor performance of the cedi against the major trading currencies especially the dollar.

According to Mr Kwakye Ofosu, members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, especially the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia engaged in cheap talk as far as plans for strengthening the local currency are concerned.

In a tweet, Mr Kwakye Ofosu said: “The exchange rate has hit GHS 5 to a dollar. No one has proven that talk is cheaper than our current Vice President.”

On his part, Sam George said on Facebook that : “The cedi officially got a Hi 5 🤚🏽 from the US dollar today. I am seeing a lot of shade for the IGP. Please lay off Uncle Dave. Ay3ntefr3m forgot to give the keys to the IGP so we cannot hold him responsible. This one di3r, akutia nim ne wura.”
