Liberia Set To Battle Nigeria's Super Eagles In A Friendly Match

All is now set for the friendly encounter between Liberia and Nigeria - The test game will go down on Tuesday after this weekend's round of AFCON 2019 qualifiers.

This encounter is organised to celebrate the retirement of president George Weah's famous jersey number 14 for the Lone Stars.

Liberia have concluded plans to battle the Super Eagles in a friendly encounter on Tuesday, September 11, at the at the Samuel Keyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville.

The match is part of the events lined up for retiring permanently the jersey number 14 worn by president George Weah during his playing days for the Lone Stars.

According to the ministry of youths and sports, the novelty match will also be attended by former stars who have won the same jersey before Weah, who is the only African to be crowned world best player.
