A father and his son, have drowned in river Offin at Nerebehi in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased drowned after a canoe that was ferrying them to a farm on Sunday, 16 September 2018 capsized around 8:00a.m.
The bodies of Adama, 58; and Yussif, 20; have not been retrieved yet.
Mr Jude Thaddeus Opoku Takyi, Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency, who has been to the scene of the accident, told Kumasi FM's Elisha Adarkwah that chiefs in the community have performed customs to help retrieve the bodies.
He added that a team from the police and National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has also joined the locals to retrieve the bodies.
