Campaign Take Off: Mahama Off To Central Region Today

Former President John Dramani Mahama will on Wednesday, 26 September 2018, begin a four-day campaign tour of the Central Region in his bid to be elected for the second time as the flag bearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr Mahama, according to the Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, E.K.T. Addo, has officially informed the region of his intention to interact with delegates in all the constituencies in line with its administrative guidelines pertaining to campaigning by presidential aspirants and national executive aspirants.

The regional executives said through the constituency chairmen, they have made arrangements to meet Mr Mahama, who will engage with only delegates from the constituencies while sticking to the itinerary submitted and approved by the executives.

The regional executives said they will not tolerate stakeholders from a particular constituency following the former president to the other constituencies after he has finished engaging them in their constituencies.
