The Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit of the Tema West Texpo Sub Metro, under the Tema Municipal Assembly, have been allegedly extorting twenty Ghana Cedis without issuing receipts from anybody who goes to their offices to prompt them of insanitary conditions in the sub metro.
A number of residents at Lashibi-Klagon near Sakumono have been complaining bitterly about this act of cheating. This state of affairs has discouraged residents to report on indiscriminate disposal of refuse, littering and defecation all round. For instance the Klagon cluster of schools is gradually witnessing mounting refuse on its premises.
Peace FM�s roving reporter, Kwesi Agyeman went to the Environmental Health sanitation of the Texpo at the Tema West Sub Metro under cover. A lady by name Grace demanded twenty Ghana Cedis without a receipt before responding to his complaint of insanitary conditions at Klagon.
