First Lady Donates To Three Physically Challenged Schools, Accra Psychiatric Hospital

The Rebecca Foundation, headed by the First Lady of the Republic Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has distributed food and household items to students of three physically challenged institutions and the Accra Psychiatric hospital today. 

The beneficiary institutions are Mampong School for the Deaf, State School for the Deaf, Adjei Kojo and the Akropong School for the Blind. The Accra Psychiatric Hospital also beneficiated from the First Lady’s thoughtful gesture.

The assorted food items included Bags of Rice, oil, sugar, shoes and clothes. The rest also included gowns and diapers.

To the Mampong School for the Deaf, Mrs. Akufo-Addo presented two big gallons of Oil, two 50 kilos weight of Sugar as well as 20 bags of Rice. It also included 5 boxes of Shoes as well as 5 boxes of goodies from the Samaritan’s Purse.

Similarly, Christmas came early for the students of the State School for the Deaf and the Akropong School for the Blind when they each received two big gallons oil, two 50 kilo bags of Sugar and 20 bags of rice. They also received 5 boxes of the Samaritan’s purse package and 5 boxes of Shoes each.   

Relatedly, the First Lady also presented same items to the patients of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital plus Gowns and diapers for nursing mothers.

Speaking at a brief ceremony to present the items on behalf of the Rebecca Foundation, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo asked that the thanked the institution for the wonderful work they do, and asked that prudent use is made of the items.
