Edmund Kyei Blasts NDC Over Reckless Comments Against NaBCo

The NPP’s First Vice Chairman for Asokwa constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Edmund Kyei, has launched a scathing attack on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for making mockery of the just launched Nation Builders Corps (NaBCO).

The NDC is reported to have said the programme is a "complete waste of state resources" and a "lazy man’s approach to dealing with the current unemployment situation" in the country.

Bu in a sharp rebuttal, the Asokwa constituency First Vice chairman says the NDC goofed in their criticism of what he referred to as a laudable initiative.

He stresses that the NPP government is bent on solving the mess left behind by the NDC.

Mr. Kyei describes their comments and utterances as "distasteful in our modern democratic dispensation".

"...the NDC does not have the morality to speak itself this laudable project...the current unemployment situation is as a result of their bad policies and programmes," he stated.

As part of the NaBCo programme, 100,000 graduates have been given the green light to work within the government sector for the next three years.

He is optimistic most of the graduates would get employment opportunities after their three year programme with the government and urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of this opportunity.
