Former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has lambasted Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah over his temperament.

According to Allotey Jacobs, the Minister is too quick tempered and expressed worry over how he (the Minister) gets easily irritated over sometimes trivial issues.

He was commenting on the violent demonstration of KNUST students on campus on Monday which resulted in vandalism of public and private properties.

The NDC stalwart told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that he didn't like the response of the Regional Minister on the issue which came out in an angry tone.

He also noted that the attitude of the Minister is not peculiar to the KNUST incident but on other occasions where he (Simon Osei-Mnsah) has been addressing, he has always shown that "he's too temperamental. He becomes angry even when you ask him a question. He’s too temperamental".

Touching on the student's demonstration on KNUST campus, Allotey Jacobs bemoaned the actions by the students but believed the Vice Chancellor, Professor Obiri-Danso's approach to the concerns of the students was a contributing factor to the situation.
