2017 GJA Awards: Sir John Eulogizes Hello FM

The Chief Executive Officer for Forestry Commission, Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John) has commended Management and Staff of Hello Fm a Subsidiary of Despite Media for working tirelessly to win the Best Rural Station in the Ashanti Region.

Hello Fm, a Kumasi based radio Station was adjudged the Best Rural Station in Ashanti Region at the just ended Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) Awards Night held at Kempinski in Accra, where a number of media practitioners and Stations received various awards under different categories.

In a Press Statement signed by the Chief Executive Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie expressed how proud the Forestry Commission is for associating itself with Hello Fm adding that is the fervent hope that the award will spur the station to a greater height.

He was thankful to the station for the commitment shown to the commission.

Never have you turned your back on the Commission whenever you were invited to our programmes. You have given the Forestry Commission extensive coverage and have helped in pushing the forest protection agenda forward,” he noted

Sir John further urged Management and staff to work harder than before to achieve greater laurels.
