NDC Lost Moral Right To Complain About Hardships Years Ago - Osafo Maafo

Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo says the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has no moral authority to complain of hardship in the country.

According to him, the NDC under former President John Mahama left the economy in a weak and bad shape and ‘that is what we are experiencing now’.

Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi, host of Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, on the 2019 budget, Mr Osafo Maafo said: “I get sad when NDC complain of hardship in the economy because they created it…they took us to IMF. Inflation under NDC was 15.4 but it is now 9.4 under Akufo-Addo. We are continuously paying the debt they left behind; that is why they lost the right to complain of hardship”.

Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta on Thursday, presented the third budget statement of the Akufo-Addo led government in Parliament.

The 2019 budget covered a wide range of issues including job creation, inflation, infrastructure and so on.
