“This 2019 Budget Will Bring Jobs” – Osafo-Marfo Assures

Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Maafo says the 2019 budget which was presented by Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to parliament is ‘promising’.

He assured that, all that was presented to parliament and Ghanaians will not be an empty promise as purported by the main opposition party, NDC.

Mr Osafo-Marfo was emphatic that, “We [NPP] shall walk our talk” to make the budget a reality and not just a mere presentation.

Government has said it is not proud that Ghanaians are still experiencing economic hardships.

“We are not proud of the fact that there is still economic hardship in the country but we are comforted by the fact that we have managed to ease the impact of the hardships that the Ghanaian people have been resigned to prior to December 7, 2016,” Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta told parliament on Thursday, 15 November 2018 during the presentation of the 2019 budget statement.

Speaking exclusively on PEACE FM’s flagship morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Mr Osafo-Marfo said the time of hardships will soon be over as the 2019 budget will open more job opportunities for the youth.

This budget will bring more jobs,” he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi

He further added “When there is job there is freedom. Unemployment brings burden to the country and that is not what we want”.
