#NDCdecides2018: Sammy Gyamfi Wins; Triddles Concedes Defeat

Provisional results from the 9th National Delegates Congress of the National Democratic Congress indicates that Sammy Gyamfi has won the position of National Communications Officer with 6,215 votes.

Fred Agbenyo polled 2,069 votes to place second.

On the otherhand, Godwin Ako Gunn and Kwaku Boahen have won the deputy National Communications Officer positions.

Kwaku Boahen won with 2,851 votes while Godwin Ako Gunn had 1816 votes.

Alhaji Mohammed Nasiru Seidu polled 1537 votes, while Jacob Adongo had 978.

Mahama Seidu Samuel got 573 and Muhammed Nurullah Iddrisu garnered 473 votes. 

Interestingly, in the battle for who becomes the National Organiser of the opposition NDC, one of the contestants, Alfred Kojo Triddles, has conceded defeat even though a winner is yet to be declared.

In a facebook post, Mr Triddles wrote: "I have lost the elections. I respect the decision of our hon delegates. I also thank God for a successful campaign. God bless".
