Presbyterian Church Donates To 'Project 100 Incubators'

After having a personal experience with premature birth in 1985, she could not sit unconcerned after hearing of the 'Project 100 incubators' initiative, spearheaded by Kokrokoo Charities.

Madam Martha Frimpong, President of the North America/Australia Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church urged her members to raise funds in support of Project 100 incubators which was founded by Kwami Sefa Kayi, renowned journalist and host of Peace FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’.

On Monday, 19th November, 2018, Madam Frimpong led a delegation from the Presbyterian Church in Ghana and on behalf of the North America/Australia Presbytery to present an amount of $4000 in support of Project 100.

Chairman General Kwami Sefa Kayi receiving the donation, expressed appreciation to the Church where he is a member.

"Project 100 Incubators", which seeks to equip neonatal intensive care units of health facilities with incubators, started in 2014.

So far 21 incubators have been distributed with 79 more to go.

Hospitals that have so far benefitted from the Project include the Police Hospital, La General Hospital, Tema General Hospital; all in Accra, the Prestea Government Hospital in the Western Region, the Nsawam Government Hospital in the Eastern Region, the Cape Coast Regional Hospital, Tamale Regional Hospital, Volta Regional Hospital popularly known as Trafalgar in Ho, among others.

The next stop, according to Kwami Sefa Kayi, will be in Navrongo, Wa, Tamale and Bolgatanga all in the Northern part of the country.
