THE ASHANTI Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka ‘Wontumi’, has been in a teasing mood since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) held its national delegates congress last weekend.
According to him, the NDC delegates voted massively for most of his (Wontumi’s) moles in the party, and that he was sure that victory in the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections was almost a done deal for the ruling political party.
“The NDC delegates did well during their congress because my strategies worked according to plan as they voted massively for the ‘candidates’ that I was expecting to occupy key positions in the NDC.
“With the people that the NDC delegates voted for to manage the party for the next four years, I bet you, victory 2020 would be a done deal for the NPP”, Wontumi said on Nhyira FM.
According to him, prior to the 2016 elections, the NPP paid some NDC top executives to work against their own candidates. He said the strategy worked perfectly for the NPP, and disclosed that he would replicate the same strategy in the 2020 general elections.
“I cannot wait for the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections to come because I have NDC executives that are willing and ready to secretly work for President Nana Akufo-Addo to win another political victory”, he said.
