Some members of the Black Stars team led by Coach Kwasi Appiah were in the stands to support the Black Queens during their Total Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) encounter with Mali.

The Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan and his deputy, Andre Dede Ayew, were at the Accra stadium on Tuesday to show their support to the Queens who lost 1-2 to Mali in their second match of the tournament.

The trio was spotted conversing during the Black Queens’ defeat to Mali in their second group A match having won their first game against Algeria.

The players arrived in the country on Monday from Addis Ababa after their 2-0 emphatic victory over Ethiopia in a game which got the country closer to securing qualification to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cameroun.

With the international break still in session, the players together with their coach decided to show their support to their female compatriots who are looking forward to hosting and winning the on-going tournament.

The Black Stars players are expected to travel back to their respective clubs ahead of their engagements with club activities.
