Akufo-Addo Swears In Chairperson, Member Of PSC

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Friday swore into office two newly appointed members onto the Public Services Commission Board.

They are Mrs Janet Ampadu Fofie, who would chair the PSC Board and Mr Micheal Nana Yaw Aduhene Adu-Darko

At a short ceremony at the Jubilee House in Accra, where the President administered the Oaths of office and of Secrecy to the appointees, they were urged to ensure an orderly and efficient Public Service.

Congratulating the two on their appointments, President Akufo-Addo  reminded them of the importance of the PSC in the governance architecture of the country, saying; “it is your duty to see to it that we have an orderly public service in which appointments are based on merit and integrity of character”.

“Your surest guide is your conscience and sense of patriotism,” the President told the two.

He said though the task ahead of them was arduous, they had been carefully chosen because of their vast experience in the public spheres of the country and expressed confidence in their ability to discharge that responsibility.

Mrs Ampadu expressed appreciation to the President for the opportunity to serve the nation and assured that they would be guided by the values of the PSC, work to the best of their abilities, and base all their actions on the law to ensure the proper working of the Public Service.
