NPP Canada Youth Organizer Honored

NPP Canada Youth Organizer, Mr Prince Akyereko has been honored at the 18th Annual Ghanaian-Canadian Achievement Award Night in Canada.

The 18th Annual Ghanaian-Canadian Achievement Award ceremony which took place over the weekend celebrated hardworking Ghanaians in Canada who have excelled in their chosen fields of endeavor.

His citation reads; “On behalf of Prime Minister Trudeau and the Government of Canada, I am pleased to extend my personal congratulations and warm wishes to Prince Akyereko (Professional Excellence Award).
This prestigious award acknowledges your accomplishments and the contributions you have to your community and to Canada. It recognizes your strong spirit, leadership and commitment to serve as a positive role model; proving, by example that anything is possible. I hope that others will take their lead from the qualities you have consistently demonstrated.’’

Speaking at the event, Mr Prince Akyereko commended the organizers for the great honor and promised to do more to impact more lives both home and abroad.

“I will not be complacent but rather feel inspired to do more for Ghanaians both home and abroad,” he said.

Mr. Prince Akyereko who is highly tipped to succeed Hon. Baffour Awuah Minister of Employment as an MP for Sunyani West is a native of Nsuatre in the Brong Ahafo Region and currently Senior Business Systems Analyst with TD Bank Group.

He holds a degree in Business Information Technology, from Turku University of Applied Sciences, Finland - MBA with specialization in Business Analytics Leadership and Postgraduate Certificate in Information Systems Analysis from Canada.

Prince Akyereko also holds HND Marketing from Sunyani Technical University, formally Sunyani Polytechnic. He was a former SRC Secretary of Sunyani Polytechnic and Central Committee Member of Ghana National Union of Polytechnic Students. Mr Akyereko had also been an exchange student of Southampton Solent University, England, UK.

He is also a writer and has published four books to his credit namely - The Irresponsible Father, Ananse, Oh! My Dear Lover, Dapaah, The Undisciplined Son & The Untimely Death, and Ananse and the Golden Tree.
