Youth Centre For Manhyia South

PLANS ARE in place for the construction of a modern Youth Centre comparable to international standards in the Manhyia South Constituency in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

The project is the brainchild of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for the area – Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

According to the MP, who is well known as ‘Napo’, the project would be situated at Konadu Yiadom, a suburb of the constituency.

He said the Youth Centre would boast of several amenities to help shape the lives of the youth in the constituency who are the future leaders.

According to him, the Centre would boast of an Astro Turf facility, which would help people to harness their football talents.

Napo made this known when addressing NPP members during this year’s annual delegates’ conference at the Manhyia South Constituency.

According to him, he has lined up several projects to help expedite the developmental agenda of the constituency. He therefore called for help from his constituents.

He noted that an Astro Turf project at Abbey’s Park is nearing completion, adding that a similar facility would be constructed at Dichemso.

Napo, whose tenure as MP has led to total transformation of Manhyia South Constituency, said all roads in the area would be fixed.

He also announced that boreholes would be constructed at areas such as OI, Afia Kobi and others, to help make potable drinking water accessible to the people.
